Joanne Kunz, MS, CRC
Vice President, Employment Services
Joanne has a master’s degree in counseling and human relations from Villanova University. She is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. She has thirty five years experience working in vocational rehabilitation that has included working with individuals with developmental disabilities, psychiatric disabilities, physical disabilities, and classified students. Joanne has worked at CEA since June, 2002. She has worked as a national surveyor with CARF International since 2009.
Elena Marie Fetch
Elena joined CEA in March 2010. She
was introduced to CEA as a student, through Workforce, in the Microsoft Office
course taught in Office Technologies, here at the center. Later Elena held a
temporary position as Instructor in
Office Technologies, before assuming the role as Work Adjustment Training Coordinator.
Elena has a background of over ten years
experience as a Recruiter in Corporate, Non- profit and also Staffing firm
environments. She has worked with professionals
in a recruiting capacity in which they obtained positions ranging from entry
level to executive, in privately held corporations, and a CPA staffing firm.
Elena has continued obtaining certificates of training. Most recently are: Understanding Anxiety &
Anxiety Disorders; Brain Anatomy, TBI & Neuro Evaluation, both of which are from the Education Program of the State University of New York at Buffalo . In addition, Elena has obtained certificates for: Understanding Mental
Illness; Behaviorist Mentoring Workshop Trauma-Informed Care; and Employment
Supports for People who are Blind & Visually Impaired, from Elizabeth M Boggs Center on Developmental Disabilities,
Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
Katherine Gibson, MSW, LSW
Director, Admissions & Assessment
Training Director, Packaging and Assembly
Linda worked in a family owned construction company for seven years. She performed various office duties and handled the purchasing and receiving of work material. She worked in the packaging and assembly industry for three years. She performed various assembly tasks as well as picking and packing of materials.
Linda has over fifteen years experience supervising individuals with disabilities in a packaging and assembly work setting. She has received numerous certificates in Production Supervision, Stress Management, Interpersonal Communication, Team Building,
Wage-Hour Training, Ethical Issues and other certificates relating to working with the disabled population. She attended various seminars and workshops regarding safety in the workplace. She is certified in CPR and First Aid by the American Red Cross.
Jessica Lax, BA
Vocational Evaluation Assistant
Jessica graduated from Bucknell University in 2011 with a degree in Political Science.
She has three years experience working as an office assistant at Bucknell University Admissions. She has created, led and participated in events and projects focusing on various issues of diversity. She has a great deal of experience with people with disabilities. Jessica has been with CEA since September 2013.
Training Director, Food Service
Pat has been in the food industry since high school, first working at Hunterdon Developmental Center serving in the kitchen to the severely disabled. After high school she began working as a line cook and assistant to the chef at The Stony Brook Pavilion in Glen Gardner. After ten years there she married and held various office positions while starting a family. She, along with family members, opened a restaurant on main street in Flemington, called The Upper Crust that ran for eleven years. After closing the restaurant she helped establish her husband’s business, which they still run today. Before coming to CEA in January 2012, she was employed at the county’s Link Transportation system where she worked in customer service.
Assistant Training Director, Food Services
Kristen has 13 years experience working in restaurants and
bakeries. Most recently she was employed as head baker for the non-profit
Baker’s Treat in Flemington for 4 years. While there she trained students with
disabilities from the Midland School, and assisted and taught individuals in
the Somerset-Hunterdon Internship and Employment Program, in addition to
working closely with trainees from Anderson House. She is Servsafe Certified in
food handling and safety, has attended the Handle with Care training, and is a
member of the New Jersey Baker’s Board of Trade. Kristen has been the assistant
training director in food services since 2012.
