TEAM YOUTH PROGRAM

Trained, Educated, And Motivated

Employment Services offers a unique program to help youth with work disadvantages to work. Youth may qualify if falling into one of the following categories and meeting financial criteria:

  • High School Drop-out
  • Offender
  • Pregnant or Parenting
  • Homeless/ Foster
  • Basic Skills Deficient
  • Disabled

This program begins with a two week period of learning about yourelf, the job market, and how to find a job. There are some vocational assessments, short job tryouts, trips to businesses, and practise in interviewing. An interview preparation activity includes a shopping trip and an allowance for an interview outfit. There is a stipend for completing the two week program.

Participants then have several choices of on-site paid training, job coaching, academics(basic skills or GED preparation) , job placement , or help in applying for schools or other training programs.

CEA staff is available for a full year following placement in a job or school for continued support and assistance.

Graduates can participate monthly in TEAM Night Out . Participants will choose activites as a group. This will be a chance to socialize while receiving support both from peers and CEA staff.
